And go figure, I’m already getting spam…

I fixed the template I broke and then some! I think I am ready to start putting actual content on this site. I still can’t figure out why the search bars are black, but you know what? Black is a part of my theme’s aesthetic. And at least the text on them is white. It works! Using WordPress templates and their builder is brand new for me. My old websites were always built with a combination of DreamWeaver and WP plugins with some good old text editing for final tweaking, but I don’t really want to pay for a new version of DW to learn when this comes right with my hosting. It might not be perfect, but for my first website in a decade and figering it all out as I go? I don’t think I did too shabby. 😊

But, of course, I’ve gotten two spam messages from my Contact Me form, which makes me suspect I did not do the reCAPTCHA correctly. That’s brand new to me. I don’t think those served a purpose for my last cosplay-focused site.

Anyway… in the coming days/weeks, I’ll start putting in some info about my books to establish that I am indeed an author with some words put together into a novel. I also intend to just keep blogging. Whatever random things pop to my mind that I don’t mind sharing with the random folks of the internet. I do intend to share posts about writing, editing, and querying in addition to random musings. I hope to keep everyone entertained going forward. From various posts to eventually handing you a novel and insisting those folks bother you for a change.
